KBZ's Best of InfoComm12 - Telepresence & Video Conferencing ...

InfoComm has wrapped for another year ? and what an incredible show it was! InfoComm12 welcomed 34,268 A/V professionals from more than 90 countries, a 4% increase in attendance over 2011.

At KBZ we look forward to InfoComm each year where we can see our partners, meet with new companies, and share the newest innovations and advancements in Cisco TelePresence, Collaboration, and more. If you missed the show, here are a few of the KBZ highlights.

Opening Keynote with Cirque du Soleil

The InfoComm12 opening keynote address was given by Tony Ricotta, Company Manager, Cirque du Soleil. The company is known for creating spectacular visual experiences that challenge the imagination and push the limits of innovation. Ricotta described the importance of the A/V industry to Cirque du Soleil, and how projection art and video distribution are critical elements in their shows, combining technology with aesthetics to thrill audiences around the world.

KBZ Communication?s 25th Anniversary Giveaway

We celebrated our 25th Anniversary with the KBZ ?Partnership has its Privileges $2500 Giveaways?. Congratulations to Tony Hill with Criticom and Dennis Butcher with Central Christian Church ? each winner walked away with $2500!

Expert Panel on Unified Communications

Brian Ricca, Regional Director, North with KBZ participated in an expert panel on ?Unified Communications ? Transforming the Way We Meet and Communicate in the Enterprise.? The discussion was moderated by David Danto, Principal Consultant, IMCCA (Panel photo from IMCCA.org). Panelists included Kevin McMenamy, Cisco, Principal Engineer Collaboration Infrastructure; John Antanaitis, Polycom, VP Product Marketing; Simon Dudley, LifeSize, Video Evangelist; and Mike Brandofino, AVI-SPL, EVP Video and UC.

?It was exciting to be part of such an intriguing discussion moderated by David Danto,? said Brian. ?IMCCA did a great job bringing together a wide variety of industry representation amongst the panel and audience. We agreed video was the driving conversation topic, and that its interoperability is just as important as its accessibility. There was no shortage of opinions around what UC really means. We all agreed that UC means different things to different people ? including customers, vendors and manufacturers.?

KBZ demos wowed visitors

Joe Cuonze was talking collaboration tools and demonstrating how WebEx can help clients and colleagues work better together with phone conferencing, video, and screen sharing, all in real-time.

In the Digital Media Suite section, Ralph Coulter was ready to ?Show and Share? with participants ? this is an ideal solution for optimizing video collaboration and personalizing connections between customers and teams.

InfoComm12 KBZ The Gang 300x225 KBZ?s Best of InfoComm12Delegates on the move took time to stop and visit Dustin Gabbett in the mobile solution kiosk to gab about Jabber and how it can connect more people from more places on more devices.

Kristin Andrzejewski was eager to chat with everyone about how ZPro and ZCare have distinguished KBZ as a leader in A/V, providing high-touch, personalized services to partners.

We would like to thank our partners Industry Weapon and Focal Point for participating in demos at our booth.

Industry Weapon led the charge, showcasing CommandCenter HD, their innovative digital media content management and creation services that make it quick and easy to deploy Cisco Digital Media Suite right out of the box.

Focal Point was focused on presenting the unique mobile utility carts that turn an EX60 into the ultimate mobile TelePresence solution, as well as their hardened shields that allow for operation in a multitude of call scenarios.

InfoComm12 goes green with QR Codes and more

InfoComm12 went green this year, providing exhibitors with QR codes to let participants download information and materials and save on paper. KBZ did their part for the planet and participated in the QR code initiative, making the code available at the booth and online.
