A Kaleidoscope Of Conferences In Nyc

Social Media For Non-profits: Over the past few years, hundreds of New York conference rooms have booked to host events related to social media. The trend is now to hold social media events for specific industries or specific clients such as non-profits. On March 7th, the Social Media for Non-profits conference is hosting a one-day event that will bring together decision-makers and supporters in the New York City tri-state area to share tips and tools for fundraising and marketing through various social media platforms.

Key "takeaways" will include skills such as maximizing a presence on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn; how to recruit and engage volunteers using social media, free and easy-to-use platforms and resources; networking with like-minded peers, and much more.

The Future of Mass Transit: This is an industry specific event for those working in the public transportation sector. Admission is free however it is required to RSVP. The event will cover topics such as how to increase safety for both the riding public and transit workers; new ideas for sustainable funding streams to improve and expand public transport; ensuring that public transportation keeps pace with job growth in the outer boroughs; and how Hurricane Sandy impacted the transit system in New York. Conference rooms that are being utilised for this event have been sponsored by various organisations around the community.
