Northwest Youth Corps, Americorp
The Farm to Fork coordinator is responsible for the lunch program at the Northwest Outdoor High School Youth Corp., the at-risk youth serving the Eugene area. The Farm to Fork Coordinator plans and prepares for lunch up to 75 people, with ingredients from the Northwest Youth Corp. Laurel Valley Educational Farm. The successful applicant will have to use with garden coordinators work to maximize seasonal produce and other local ingredients to prepare tasty and nutritious meals for Outdoor School students and staff. In addition, the Farm to Fork Outdoor Mentors Coordinator High School teaches students in the kitchen, and cooking skills as part of a Culinary Arts elective.
The Laurel Valley Educational Farm was founded in 1999 to complement Northwest Youth Corps (NYC) youth programs and has since become an important resource for youth services and the community. Each year, the farm provides hundreds of pounds of fresh produce to NYC youth teams and the OutDoor High School Culinary Arts program and provides an excellent experimental training and work experience for hundreds of young people enrolled in NYC programs. In addition, the farm serves the community through the operation of a weekly production was during the growing season.

? One year of college. Study / Department of culinary arts preferred.
? Experience cooking with organic vegetables
? The desire to educate young people about healthy cooking and
a healthy lifestyle? Knowledge and experience in teaching and leading young adult

in organic farms? Ability to establish positive relationships with different groups of young people
? Good physical condition and ability to participate in intense physical labor demand schedule
