Argentine unions plot British cargo ship delays (AP)

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina ? Argentine maritime workers are intensifying a boycott of container ships carrying British goods. They hope to pressure Britain to negotiate with Argentina over the disputed Falkland Islands.

Britain says it won't discuss the sovereignty of the South Atlantic archipelago as long as the islanders want to remain British.

Argentine maritime union leader Enrique Omar Suarez was meeting with other union leaders Wednesday to plan their next moves.

Transport delays could hurt Argentina more than Britain: Argentina exported $805 million in goods to Britain last year while the British sent $655 million in goods to Argentina.
